What are we doing in the chemical industry?

In the manufacture of black ink, as for example for inkjet printers, extremely fine black colour particles are required. These are produced from so-called 'Special Carbon Black'.  These are created by controlled combustion and cooling of oil. The higher the firing temperature the more effective is the process.

We provide zirconia heat shields for the lining of these reactors.

The heat shields must

• be extremely temperature-resistant
• have a high purity level
